I have a craftsman r1000 it's basically the same as that TB mower. The issue I'm having is it will not shift and only goes slow. I looked at the shifter on the right side of the steering column and linkage. Still can't figure out why it will not shift to a higher speed. Can anyone help me, please?

Two of the screws on the bolts locked up. I wish I saw this video before I tried grinding a notch in the center. It didn't work. Now I know what's under the cover so I can pry it off without causing more work. Thanks.

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but I noticed you're fairly active with comments so its worth a try. @2:48 do you know where you could possibly find a replacement choke linkage bushing? I followed your instructions and the carb cleanout went phenomenal... however I broke the linkage clip and now cannot find one anywhere for any of these 30 inch riding mowers. Do you happen to know the specs or where I could find a replacement? (My machine is a 2013 Columbia CR30) Thank you so much for the video!!!

Even after replacing the blade mine does not seem to cut grass well at all. Is there a clutch that I should be looking at in the deck or is it possible the belt is just slipping?

Um unless you completely disassemble the deck hubs and remove the bearing seals then your deck spindles are not greased. It’s a factory designed fail point. The bearings in the hubs are sealed bearings meaning none greasable. They put grease irks in the hub to make you think you greased them. They did this so your deck wears out and you go buy a new deck and or a new complete mower. Most people replace the entire machine instead of just a deck. Don’t believe them just pull a deck hub and see where the grease went. I learned this the hard way.

I'm a novice at small engine repairs, but with videos like yours, I've finely figured out how to successfully repair my recoil spring and rope on my 24 yo Tecumseh tiller. I've spent 2 weeks trying to figure out which direction to install the spring, how to keep the spring inside while rewinding it. With your video I realized I didn't need the rope installed until after the spring was working (many hours trying to wrap the spring and rope at the same time). Weird your video didn't show up when I googled this topic, but after about 40 videos, I'm done! So glad, so so glad. Thank you!!

Once i get rid of my toro I'll never buy one again this brand has nothing but ignition problems heck the last one i had the engine just blew up one day if you can fix yours good if not i recommend getting a different brand altogether
